To celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Green Thumb employees were encouraged to honor his legacy as a civil rights leader with a day of remembrance, education and action. Take action by participating in virtual volunteer opportunities, donate to The Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change (“The King Center”) and spread awareness of Dr. King’s legacy by following and sharing posts from the King Center, Smithsonian Institute, and Civil Rights Museum.
Green Thumb’s Rock Island, team members delivered over 110 valentines to seniors isolated in Illinois nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic with “Valentines for Cuties.”
RISE Cleveland volunteers helped the team at Hope for CLE give back to the community by preparing boxes filled with food and books for those in need.
Vegas team members helped create compost, clean the grounds, plant new seeds from food scraps, and painted a mural at Vegas Roots Community Garden!

Volunteers from Green Thumb’s Toledo, Ohio production facility ran a supply drive for Leading Families Home, a homeless shelter in the community that helps families transition into sustained housing.
